I read the first book in the Contract Killers Duology just a few weeks ago and I fell in love
with EVERYTHING about it. I Love You *
Subject to the following Terms and Conditions was hilarious, awkward,
romantic, filled with drama and EVERYTHING I was looking for at the moment.
Which is why I only wait a DAY after I got my paperback copy
of this book for the Blog Tour to dive in – I was SO EXCITED to see what
happened to Kate, Adam, Logek and the insane world they live in.
MY THOUGHTS:
1.
The first book in this duology, I Love You* Subject to the following Terms
and Conditions ended on one of the worst possible cliff-hangers a rom-com
can leave you with and as soon as I reached the end, I was ABSOLUTELY desperate
for more in this world and DESPERATE for more Kate and Adam.
2.
Unconditionally
managed to keep up the pace, the hilarity and the romance that book
one had but also had a greater focus on Kate’s job and every kind of messed up
client she met as a Signing Attorney.
3.
Signing Law is one of the specialities of law in
this HILARIOUS world where marriage doesn’t exist, but seven yearlong contracts
instead and you can re-up, breach or let the contracts expire. I absolutely
loved seeing Kate grow into and start liking her job in signing law because it
made the book SO much more interesting.
4.
The one
thing I CRAVED in this book was EVERYTHING Erin Lyon would give me about Kate
and Adam because they are #goals. Through the whole 300 page book, there
were only about five – six scenes or LESS AND I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE NOW
I NEED MORE. So so much more of the both of them and I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO GET
IT FROM.
5.
I love all the girl power in this book
especially Kate’s best friends, Logek and her paralegal, Mags. They were
absolutely brilliant at supporting each other and YAY FOR FRIENDSHIPS.
Unconditionally was a HILARIOUS book filled with steamy romance,
friendships and awkward encounters that still has me wanting more. 4.5
stars.
Erin Lyon graduated with a bachelor's degree in English and then worked in broadcast television at the Sacramento ABC affiliate for 10 years before going to law school. She is now a practicing civil attorney and blames all of the people in her life for not trying to talk her out of the whole “becoming a lawyer” thing. After finishing law school, she completed her first novel and began working on the sequels. Erin lives in Northern California with her husband of nearly 20 years (the Saint), her two daughters (the Girls), her three rescue dogs (the Boys), and three cats, who, let’s be real, belong only to themselves. The Contract Killers is her debut novel.
