Stacking The Shelves #35 - The One With Everything Maggie Stiefvater

Hi Everyone! When you see this post, I'll be flying out of town on the way to my four day vacation but, AS PROMISED, I'm managing to do a Stacking the Shelves post this week (WOOT!) I spent this week tied up with everything college - we had a few events going on there including a Media Summit and we even visited the set of a movie which left me time only to read one book this week *sighs*

Anyway, I got one MAJOR parcel this week that had me FREAKING out and fangirling that I actually had these books in my hands. So, without further ado, let's begin:

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tyga's Reviews that is all about the books you stack onto your shelves over a week (bought, gifted or for review)

FOR REVIEW:

From Scholastic India:

1. Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater

2. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater

I've been waiting for over a YEAR for the Scholastic Warehouse to have these books back in stock again and I am so excited that they are finally sitting next to me right now as I type this out. I loved the first two books of Maggie Stiefvater's Raven Cycle quartet and I'm SO SO EXCITED for books three and four!
All the Crooked Saints
Also, I currently own them in HARDCOVER and the covers are gorgeous and... I'll stop ranting now. Expect reviews of these two very soon!

3. All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater:
While I have heard mixed reviews about this book, and there were a few people calling it problematic out there, I've decided to give Maggie Stiefvater the benefit of the doubt and go into this book with an open mind and look for all the miracles it seems to offer!

ALSO, HOW ARE ALL OF THESE COVERS SO AESTHETICALLY PLEASING? I cannot even. I love all of them SO SO MUCH!
From Twinkle, with Love

From Sandhya Menon:

1. From Twinkle With Love by Sandhya Menon: Sandhya Menon's debut novel, When Dimple Met Rishi was one of my TOP books of 2017 and I loved every second of this beautifully Desi novel and I honestly believe it's time for a re-read already.

When she offered Asian bloggers an eARC of her book, I JUMPED AT THE CHANCE. It's sitting on my iPad, just waiting for me to pick it up, and I honestly can't wait for when I find the perfect time to.

A Quiet Kind of ThunderGIFTED:

1. A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard: While this beautiful sounding book released in the UK a while ago, it only just did so in the US from Simon Teen and the lovely author, Sara Barnard chose me as a winner in her Twitter Giveaway to get a signed copy of the US Edition! It looks stunning and so many people have said that the story is heartbreaking and beautiful and I CANNOT WAIT TO GET INTO THIS BOOK!

I also stuck to my book buying ban and bought absolutely nothing this week, so YAY FOR ME! (I'm trying to get a handle on my TBR but Amazon and all it's deals are calling to me and here's to hoping that I last until next week!
What books have you stacked onto your shelves over the new year/ Christmas?
Have you read any of my new books/ are you excited for any of them?
I'd ABSOLUTELY love to hear from you!

Stacking The Shelves #34 - The One After Three Months

Hi Everyone,

YES, It's been forever since I sat down to type up a Stacking The Shelves post and I AM SO SORRY. I just unbox all of my mail on my Instagram Stories now and I usually end up having college on Saturdays and basically have NO TIME AT ALL to sit down and actually type up these posts.

So, instead of trying to figure out ALL the books that I've missed, I'm going to start fresh with my Stacking The Shelves post, and talk to you about the books I received over the last two weeks. I've also put myself on SORT OF a review-copy request ban because my TBR is SERIOUSLY out of hand and I'm working on bringing it down (but I'll probably break it soon) so let's see how that goes!

And now, what you're all here for:

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and is all about the books you received, were gifted or bought and stacked onto your shelves.

UnconditionallyREVIEW COPIES:

From Tor/ Forge:

1. Unconditionally by Erin Lyon:
I got the second book in the Contract Killers series as the FIRST BOOKMAIL OF THE NEW YEAR just a few days ago and I'm already almost done with reading it. They were also kind enough to send me book one in the series,  I Love You* Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions, a few weeks ago that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED.

If you're looking for the next big rom-com, this one is for you!

I got this part as a part of my Blog Tour with Jean Book Nerd Tours.

Love, Hate & Other FiltersFrom Diverse Book Bridge:

1. Love, Hate And Other Filters by Samira Ahmed:
If you haven't heard of Diverse Book Bridge, they're an AMAZING bunch of book bloggers whose sole mission is to get diverse books into the hands of diverse book bloggers (which is the BEST THING EVER) and they offered to send me this BEAUTIFUL book and I agreed.

I just finished reading it a few days ago and it was LOVELY and I can't wait to post about it here.
Nyxia (The Nyxia Triad, #1)

From Penguin Random House India:

1. Nyxia by Scott Reintgen: A BOOK SET IN SPACE? YES PLEASE TAKE ALL MY MONEY. The synopsis to Scott Reintgen's Nyxia is STUNNING and it hints at all this future tech and it's literally sitting at the TOP of my TBR Pile right now calling out to me. It sounds like the perfect book to read while I wait for Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and I will be diving into it VERY soon.
The Hazel Wood

2. The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert: Let's be honest - anything related to horror is NOT a genre I usually read. In fact, I don't even WATCH any TV Shows or Movies that fall into that category and yet when I read the synopsis for The Hazel Wood, I'm SO SO intrigued. I've heard all my blogging friends PRAISE this book and that's why I was OVER the moon when I actually got an ARC in my hands.

GIFTED:

#TBTBSanta Package (from the LOVELY Erin Brown)

I participated in the The Broke and the Bookish Secret Santa this Christmas and I received the LOVELIEST PARCEL EVER all the way from Singapore from the AMAZING Erin Brown and I FREAKED OUT WHEN I DID.

This parcel contained The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed and Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu both of which are feminist novels that I cannot WAIT to get my claws into, A GORGEOUS Rhysand Candle, A Kaz Brekker pouch from Evie Seo's Society 6 store and SO MUCH CANDY THAT I DIED.

Thank you so much Erin for this STUNNING parcel. I loved it MORE than I could say.

Girl Against the UniverseBOUGHT:

1. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

2. Girl Against The Universe by Paula Stokes

The Song of AchillesRenegades (Renegades, #1)3. Renegades by Marissa Meyer

These three books have been on my book radar for FOREVER and I'm so glad I finally got them for myself. I couldn't resist buying the Bloomsbury Modern Classic Edition of The Song of Achilles and then I ordered Renegades and Girl Against the Universe off of Amazon and I'm REALLY hoping to get to them soon.

I'm going to be boarding a flight early next Saturday morning and if I have any books books my then, you can definitely expect a Stacking The Shelves post but if not I'll DEFINITELY do one two weeks from now.

What books have you stacked onto your shelves over the new year/ Christmas?
Have you read any of my new books/ are you excited for any of them?
I'd ABSOLUTELY love to hear from you!

Stacking The Shelves #16 - The One Where I Import A Book

Hello Lovely Bloggy People!

It was a super stressful week college wise, because I had a whooping 23 SUBMISSIONS to make yesterday (WHAT EVEN) and after finishing all of them, the professor changes the deadline to THE 16TH OF AUGUST. That's HALF A MONTH AWAY. SIGH.

So, I'm going to be sitting here, sipping my iced tea and enjoying my weekend after college today and FINALLY read The Mirror King!

But, more importantly, WHAT DID I SHELVE THIS WEEK?

FOR REVIEW:
From Netgalley:

1. Glitters by Aprilynne Pike (Thanks You Random House Childrens!)

CAN YOU LOOK AT THAT COVER? I am DYING inside at the sheer AWESOMENESS of the work of art. ALSO THIS IS A FANTASY NOVEL IN VERSAILLES WITH TECHNOLOGY AND DRUGS AND GOD HELP ME I'M FLAILING AND I CAN'T STOP.

From Edelweiss:

1. Fear The Drowning Deep by Sarah Glenn Marsh

THIS IS ABOUT WITCHES. AND ECCENTRIC WITCHES. AND CONSPIRACIES. I AM SO SO SO IN.

From Serial Box:

What is Serial Box?
They are a publisher of high-quality, serialized fiction. It's like a TV show--episodes each week building to a season finale-- but written by some of the top authors in the biz.

I recently got contacted by a lovely intern and they offered me the first two episodes of ReMade:
Written By: Matthew Cody, Kiersten White, E.C. Myers, Andrea Phillips, Carrie Harris, and Gwenda Bond

Synopsis From Goodreads: You live. You love. You die. Now RUN. ReMade.

Every minute, 108 people die.
On October 14th, 2016, from 9:31-9:32 p.m. EDT, 23 of those deaths will be teenagers.
Now they are humanity’s last hope for survival.

Awakened in a post-apocalyptic world and hunted by mechanical horrors, these teens search for answers amidst the ruins of civilization. Fate, love, and loyalty face off in this adrenaline -pumping YA adventure.

ReMade will unfold in 15 episodes.

BOUGHT:

1. Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon:

This cover is SO BLOODY gorgeous I could not stop staring at it for at least three hours after I got it. I've heard nothing but great things about this one, and I'm SO excited to finally own it!

2. Some Boys by Patty Blount:
(YES, This is the book I imported!)

I've been obsessed with finding new books about rape and abuse as good as Asking For It by Louise O'Neill, and I stumbled across this one that I read about a while ago and I just HAD to have it!

What books have you got this week? Any on here that you're dying to start or get your hands on too?

Link me up and I can't wait to visit your blogs!

Well, for now, I don't have my own Stacking the Shelves graphic yet, so I'm going to use the original/ official one from Tynga's Reviews.
