Title: Guild of Immortal Women
Author:
David Alan Morrison
Publication Date:
November 2014
Blurb Description: Two bodies are discovered on the grounds of “The Bastille,” home to a coven of witches who belong to the Guild of ImmortalWomen. The bodies have strange characteristics, so what follows is a combination merry and sinister romp through ancient history. Medieval times are brought to life through a massive Tapestry adorning the mansion’s walls where the characters — animals and humans — emerge through tears in the fabric.
It is up to Detective Matt Mathers and social worker Lynn Swanson to solve the murder-mystery while dealing with the strange world of magic, Guardian Abbey’s amnesia from her past lives, and the devilish mission of Robert and the Doctor to create animmortal heir through the laboratory.

**MY REVIEW**
Guild of Immortal Women is not at all what I expected- but that, in this case at least it most DEFINITELY a good thing! We're pulled into the story super fast- the prologue is extremely intriguing with what I thought was magic, aging and a murder all packed into a tight few pages- transporting you to another world altogether!

Since this is a mystery *hush, hush* I make it a point not to dwell on what actually happens in the story- because that's the readers job- to take the journey themselves, so...

I will say that this book was straightforward and mysterious all at the same time, super exciting, adrenaline- rush- giving and intrigue rising book. The characters had good, clear and most importantly realistic voices, that made you feel like you knew them; like they could be living right there with you! I loved how David Alan Morrison gave us these personal tidbits about the characters lives, making it oh so secretive and common knowledge at the same time!

I couldn't give it a higher recommendation:)
